Welsh Born Celebs

So here is part two of the most successful celebrity’s that have come from Wales. Love them or hate them, say they aren’t successful or a load of rubbish, they have got a lot of money for some reason or other.

Tom Jones

Thomas Jones Woodward was born 7th June 1940 and is known by his shortened stage name of Tom Jones. For his services to music Tom Jones was actually knighted in 2006 by the Queen and he has sold over 100 million records. Anyone who doesn’t recognise the name Tom Jones will surely remember the song from the film Thunderball with the same title. sang the song forThis was of course the Bond movie that Tom Jones. His most famous two songs have to be “Mama Told Me Not To Come” and “It’s Not Unusual”.

The Wonderful Kathering Jenkins

was born 29th June 1980 and is an award winning classic crossover mezzo-soprano. It would seem that she was born in Neath, Wales and is very well known for her classical voice. The public first started to see the talent of this woman in 2003 when she supported Aled Jones on his tour. It was the in 2003 Rugby World Cup when the world first saw her make her Sydney Opera House debut and in 2004 she appeared in the USA. She has the title of the fastest selling mezzo-soprano artist of all time and is a fluent welsh speaker.

Charlotte Church

Charlotte Church was born 21st February 1986 in Cardiff, Wales and his since gone on to become very rich and successful. She has sold more than 10,500,000 albums worldwide and could be worth up to £20 million. There are a lot of people out there that dislike her and her music. The singer has since gone on to have two children and also is the host of a popular chat show entitled the charlotte church show.

Just some of the best celebrities that have come out of the great country that is Wales.
Wales is actually a really nice spot to take one of those UK family holidays or perhaps even one of those awesome family days out.
