So what’s the difference? As soon as you have the opportunity to embark on a Maldives holiday or a Caribbean holiday, what do you do. Both are at their peak summer times and both are for 7 nights. So which one do you take up, these places are the same as each other, would you be able to quickly make a decision.
The Maldives has a very warm climate, oh, and so does the Caribbean. There are the sandy white beaches on both of these locations, and not a single stone or pebble in sight. There must be some thing different about these places that will help people to make their minds up about which one they want to go to.
When you really look into it, these two holidays are very different, maybe not the climate, but different aspects. First of all the Caribbean is a collection of many countries. The Maldives is more of a collection of many small islands. In the Maldives you are very restricted to what you can actually do. Don’t go to the Maldives if you want to have a busy and crazy holiday, this is the place for relaxation and spa treatments. Although there are some activities like diving and walking along the beach, these holidays are more designed for you to chill out.
The Caribbean is quite different; you don’t have to relax on St Lucia or Barbados if you don’t want to. There has go to be something conclusive that will help people to make up their minds about which of these holidays is best. There is something very different about these holidays. All holidays cost money, and Caribbean holidays don’t come cheap, but Maldives holidays are even more expensive. Your average Maldives holiday is going to cost you almost twice that of a Caribbean one, leaving you very little spending money.
So Maldives holidays or Caribbean holidays? The luxury is in the Maldives holiday, but it’s also there in St Lucia holidays, here are some holidays that we can all enjoy!

The first difference about the Maldives is their distinctive landscape. Most of the 1200 islands of the Maldives are little more than a plot of sand and a palm tree. The resort islands are bigger, but not by much. A few acres that one can walk around the circumference in less time it takes you to finish your pina colada. This minuteness creates a uniquely quaint, initimate, isolated, tranquil feel to all of the islands which is as indescribable as it is distinctive.
The second difference to the Maldives is their distinctive seascape. They are a unique chain of island atolls that have eroded to the point where just the tips are peaking out above the water. What this means is that what used to be atop ocean volcanoes has now crumbled to the ocean over the millenia creating miles of shallow lagoons and coral reefs. All of the resorts seem to be surrounded by endless natural aquariums of still, protected pools of water. On our first trip, our family with small children spent a morning snorkelling only to find ourselves a half mile offshore from the island! We hadn’t noticed because we were still only waist deep in water.
The South Pacific is great in the Pacific and the Caribbean is great in the Atlantic, but when it comes to tropical paradise, there is really no place like the Maldives.
