Use Your Holiday Time To Teach Our Next Generation

Holidays for children can be both educational and fun. There are a few holidays out there that actually provide an educational value to your fun holiday. Holidays to exotic cultures and destinations where things are so different could help to boost your child’s general knowledge of the world.
One holiday that can prove to be very effective is that which takes you into a completely different world. Once on a safari holiday, the wildlife is completely real, making this experience difficult to see anywhere else. The Maasai Mara is one of the most famous and well known national park reserves in Africa, and also provides people with some great safari experiences. Being given the chance to actually see animals in their original environment is quite something, and important for education.
The Big five are an amazing bunch, and being able to see them first hand really takes you back. There are 5 animals in particular that are truly stunning that live in Africa, and they were called the Big Five because they were the most difficult to hunt. There is the Leopard, the Cape Buffalo, the Lion, Elephant and Rhino. These animals are also endangered, and in order for us to combat their becoming extinct, we need to remind people of what they are. These animals aren’t going to be around forever and what better way to help the younger generation realise they can help, by taking them on holiday.
We need to try and educate people with sights of these animals, and then let them know what is happening to them. Safaris help us to get close to the natural world. Vocational learning is considered by some to be the best way to learn, so surely a safari is one of the best ways to get your hands dirty.
The biggest thing that acts as a deterrent from these holidays is the price. There is a lot of competition on prices at the moment, so it is best to get booking soon. Prices have fallen to quite a reasonable amount.
Kenya holidays are proving to be very much “the in thing”, then Namibia holidays and Tanzania holidays, all you have to do is decide which national reserve you would like to travel to?

I totally agree, not only is a safari an amazing experience, it’s also a truely educational one. I attended a photographic evening by Paul Goldstein (a photographer and Exodus trip leader) a few weeks ago where he showcased photos from his recent Mara trips. Juat going to that made the animals real and it really hit home the fact that we need to look after them.
