Munich Germany is a highly recommended vacation city for anyone who is contemplating a vacation filled with scenery, landmarks, and attractions. Munich offers many attractions for visitors. Located just north of the Bavarian Alps on the River Isar, Munich is truly a wonderful sight – both naturally and architecturally. One of the largest and oldest science museums in the world is located on an Island in the Isar and it’s very possible to go visit the Deutsches museum. If you’re an art lover the largest art museum in Germany, The Alte Pinakothek art Museum is located in Munich as well. In Munich also resides the BMW museum which is a must see if you’re passionate about cars. I thoroughly enjoyed the BMW museum.

Ballet Week and the Munich Opera festival are also celebrated in Munich. The week long festival features the Bavarian State Ballet which has many internationally acclaimed ballet stars who perform and dance as a way to pay homage to this long running festival.

Since 1876 ever summer the Munich Opera Festival has occurred and is widely believed to be the most important music event in Germany. This highly regarded event includes performers from all across the globe. It’s quite obvious that Munich is a great vacation destination. You have so many different entertainment mediums to choose from such as art, music and dance. Within Munich you will find a lot of high class hotels, fine dining and shops with German made souvenirs so that you can bring your vacation home with you. As soon as you arrive in Munich, you will feel the history that surrounds you.

Munich offers something for people of all ages and is a fantastic city for a family holiday.
