A Holiday With the Kids

It is safe to say that travelling with children is not easy. This is also true if not more so for someone who is taking children with them who are not thier own as it will add that extra bit of worry to you which you certainly do not need.
There are however just a few things to remember to do when taking a child away with you and this is very important advice indeed.
Take with you a signed and attested consent letter from the parents for you to travel with the child, especially if the name of the child’s passport is different from yours. You are going to be asked for this in countries where overseas adoption and/or child trafficking is common. This is nothing to worry about at all, it is done to stop crime.
Another thing to do is make sure that everyone travelling has the correct visas as well as vaccinations. The USA is important as they have very tight system in terms of who they let in and out. The vaccinations are for places like Egypt where you are a lot more likely to catch something as your immune system will not be used to the surroundings.
Do make sure that everything has been given to you about the child. For example any medication for any condition that the child may be suffering. It seems like an obvious thing to do but it is forgotten a lot. Allergy UK actually produces cards in 27 other languages so if something does go wrong you can at least alert the medical crew of what exactly is the problem.
What if something does go wrong and something actually happens to the child who is in your care? Do not panic is the major rule here. If you panic you will only make things worse, just stay calm and assess the situation.
So just take care if you are taking a child away with you this year.
If you are going away make sure you have your I-pod covered with I-pod insurance or even if you are at home, home insurance as well as emergency home insurance can be very important as well.
