A honeymoon should be a private romantic period for a newlywed couple to enjoy each others company and celebrate their union.  There are plenty of wonderful honeymoon destinations for couples to choose from that are full of excitement, adventure and romance. A most popular choices for honeymoon destinations would be island honeymoon getaways which offer warm and scenic coasts, sandy beaches and exotic adventures are perfect and absolutely romantic for newlywed couples.

The number of possible honeymoon destinations around the world that a couple can choose to go to is almost unlimited. Most are popular tourist spots filled with top beach resorts, each sporting a full range of activities and services. Some fun activities include horseback riding, cave explorations, dolphin and whale watching, surfing, scuba diving, swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking are all great. In the end, island honeymoons are perfect escapes for couples to get away from the hustle and bustle of a chaotic life and be renewed in a more relaxing and refreshing atmosphere.

If you are planning your marriage and struggling to make a decision among various honeymoon destinations then you’re not alone. A wedding adds plenty of stress to your life and trying to plan your honeymoon while handling the wedding planning can be difficult but will prove rewarding. If you are unsure of where you and your intended mate would like to go, here are some places to consider.

Hawaii – A Hawaiian honeymoon is one of the most desirable and romantic destinations for those who are newlyweds. Maui is the island of choice with tropical hills, white sandy beaches, mountains, and accommodations that cater to couples. It is a honeymoon that will create lasting memories.

Mexico – A Mexican honeymoon is a wonderful choice as a destination. There are a number of world class resorts you can choose from with a large majority of them being all inclusive. These people are warm and friendly and if you’re on a budget you can’t beat the prices. It’s easy to arrive there with so many daily flights.

Caribbean – A trip to a Caribbean island, or multiple islands if you choose a honeymoon cruise, it’s a truly romantic experience. A great thing about a Caribbean honeymoon is the number of islands you can choose from, each with its own distinct cultural attractions.

Florida – The state of Florida has something fun and very exciting for everyone. From the sandy beaches, to the electric nightlife of big cities and all that makes a Florida honeymoon a truly memorable experience. Walt Disney World in Orlando has packages for more adventurous honeymooners.

Puerto Rico – A US territory in the Caribbean that offers all types of amenities to the honeymooning couple. From scuba diving, snorkeling, sport fishing, and other activities for water sport enthusiasts. There are numerous fabulous resorts offering honeymoon vacation packages.

These suggested vacation destinations are all wonderful places if you wish to plan spring break vacations to enjoy your time with friends in a great location. While you don’t have to go to one of these locations you can be assured that you can’t go wrong if you do decide to visit one. In the end wherever you go with your loved one you will create a memory that will last for the rest of your days.

Visiting Las Vegas with Kids: Things to Do

Roller Coaster
Image by David Reber via Flickr

There was a time when Las Vegas wasn’t really a place you’d bring your family. Drinking and gambling is still a big draw for some folks, but if you haven’t been to Las Vegas recently, the great thing about the city is that you don’t have to gamble a single dollar or drink a drop of alcohol to have a heck of a time there.

Certainly, you don’t have to set foot inside a single casino to have a great time in Vegas, and not feel like you wasted your time. As some of its biggest fans say, “It’s like Disneyland, now!” and in many ways, it really is like a high-class carnival these days. You have costumed entertainers walking the streets, amusement park rides, and, well, yes, games of chance.

Here are a few fun things to do in Vegas with kids:

Adventuredome

Adventuredome is America’s largest indoor theme park, encased in a five acre glass dome. You’ll be able to spot this place from nearly anywhere in the city. It’s not very easy to miss a gigantic pink and purple glass bulb sticking out on the skyline. Inside, it’s definitely no county fair, it’s a real, bonafide theme park, with roller coasters, and crazy thrill r ides like the Canyon Blaster. It should be obvious why we’re putting this one at the top of the list.

GameWorks

It’s not just a video game arcade. It’s much, much more. GameWorks is kind of like what video games might be one hundred years from now. GameWorks is a high tech playground, mixing video game elements with real world activities like rock climbing. Until they perfect virtual reality, this is the closest your kids are going to get to being inside of the game

Zoological-Botanical Park

Even the zoos in Las Vegas are exotic and colorful. We’ve all been to a zoo, but at the Zoological-Botanical Park, you’ll see a number of animals you can’t see anywhere else.

Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix and the Las Vegas Cyber Speedway

The Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix is a kid’s dream. There are three styles of mini race cars, including Kiddie cars for children 4 years or younger all the way up to Gran Prix cars, which you need to be 16 or older to ride. The Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix also features an arcade, a mini roller coaster, and a Super Fun Slide. The parents tend to go just as nuts over this attraction as the kids.

Fun Things to Do in Summit County, Colorado

Sis summit
Image by Citizen Sane via Flickr

Colorado is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful states in the US.

If you don’t want to restrict yourself just to Denver or Boulder, we can wholeheartedly recommend a stay in Summit County. Summit County includes the beautiful mountain towns of Silverthorne, Dillon, Montezuma, Frisco, Breckenridge, and Blue River – and the rural areas in between.

The towns each have something to offer, and the rural areas are excellent for hikers, bikers, backpackers, skiers, adventurers and history buffs.

Here are some of the coolest things to do in Summit County.

1. Hit the Slopes in Keystone.

Keystone is one of the small communities in the Summit County area, and it’s widely known as an awesome place to go for skiers, snowboarders, Nordic skiers…really just about anyone who loves winter outdoor activities. The area is loaded with lakes, hills, mountains, and trails, so even if your inclined more towards ice skating and hiking, there’s more to do than just race down hills. In addition to Keystone, Summit County also boasts the ski resorts of Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin, and Copper Mountain.

2. Summer activities in Breckenridge.

Breckenridge is a particularly great place to spend a summer vacation. While it does house a very popular ski resort in the wintertime, the summer still has something to offer with its gorgeous wildflowers as well as the Blue River. Breckenridge also plays host to the Breckenridge Festival of Films, if you’re a cinema buff.

3. Sightseeing the Landmarks.

Every town in Summit County has plenty of history, and the locals will be glad to share it with you.

4. Learn about the History of Gold Mining.

You’ll be amazed at the gold mining history that you can see right from the area hiking and biking paths, including old dredge boats and tailings piles. There are a few different gold mining tours you can take in, as well.

5. Hit up the Bicycle Routes.

Summit County is a mountain biker’s dream, with miles and miles of rugged mountain trails, as well as paved bike paths that are perfect for those who want to take a more leisurely approach.

You really can’t ask for a better place than the Summit County area if you’re into outdoor exploration or cool old historic American sites. This list of things to do hasn’t even scratched the surface. Our advice is to simply book a trip and find your own fun once you get there. You’ll find the latest coupons for discount ski vacations here and discounts for spring break family vacations here.
